UT Arlington is well on its way to becoming one of America’s next great research institutions. UT Arlington continues to recruit pioneering researchers and add state-of-the-art equipment, generating unprecedented increases in research activity. In 2009-10, total research expenditures exceeded $63 million, nearly triple the amount of 2004. Expertise in bioengineering, nanotechnology, medical diagnostics, genetically targeted therapies, national security initiatives, aging, and other areas enhances lives and helps solve some of the world’s most urgent problems.
