Student Alumni Association news
The Student Alumni Association raised more than $12,000 at its 8th Annual Tuition Raffle. The top seller was Candice Freeman, who sold 205 tickets. Fifteen students reached the sales goal required to attend the National Association for the Advancement of Student Programs District Conference. At the conference, the SAA received the Outstanding Student Alumni Association award and the Outstanding Internal Program award for the Tuition Raffle.

The SAA held its first Dinner with 10 Mavericks last spring with more than 30 students participating. Alumni hosts included former Alumni Association Board of Directors presidents Daniel Kauth (’84) and Theresa Berend (’01). Other hosts were alumni board members Neer Patel (’06) and Roger Ornelas (’01), as well as Wilfred Atanga (’88, ’91) and Brad Loper (’93) and his wife, Adrienne (’93).
