Cascade Server
Beginning in January 2006 business requirements for a CMS were developed by soliciting input from Web developers, content managers, and contributors from departments across campus. Using these requirements, an RFI was created and sent to 20+ vendors. From this long list, three vendors were selected to participate in scripted sessions. This was further narrowed down to two vendors for in-depth, hands-on evaluation. Additionally, the Stamats review of the UT Arlington Web site returned several recommendations for improvement.
In November 2007 the CMS Working Group recommended the purchase and implementation of Cascade Server from HannonHill. The recommendation was approved by the Web Standards Committee and submitted to the University administration. President Spaniolo approved the request and Cascade was ordered in December 2007.
