The Center for International Research, Education and Development within the School of Urban and Public Affairs promotes the design and execution of research, curricula and educational projects through partnerships with academic and non-profit institutions abroad.

    Current collaboration exists under the terms of the Educational Partnerships Program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs with the Kharkiv Academy of Municipal Economy in Kharkiv, Ukraine, University of Kragujevac, Serbia, and University of Montenegro Podgorica, Montenegro.

    The primary goal of these projects is to promote development of  theoretically sophisticated and  empirical approaches designed to promote an open, accountable, efficient and responsive municipal and regional governance in Eastern  Europe.
