  • University Advising Center offers special extended hours for a limited time

    University Advising Center Offering Extended Hours

    The University Advising Center will be operating with extended hours August 18-21 & August 25-28, The UAC will be open from 8am-7pm Mondays through Thursdays, and 8am-5pm on Fridays. Typically the last student is signed in 30 minutes before the close of the day. Students should arrive early though, as if there is a long wait before the cut off time, the UAC may end walk-ins earlier to ensure no one is turned away at the end of the day.

    Maverick Stampede (a.k.a. Welcome Week) is the official kick-off to the new academic year. This first week of classes is filled with fun and exciting programs centered on integrating new and returning students back to campus. Students are given the opportunity to participate in events throughout the week that will allow them to experience tradition, engage with their academic departments, meet other students, and overall become familiar with campus.

    Texas Meningitis Vaccination Law

    As of January 1, 2012, incoming Texas college students under 30 years of age and continuing students who have missed one fall or spring semester must be immunized against bacterial meningitis and submit proof of vaccination.  Learn more about this policy at the university's FAQ site.

    Metro Arlington Xpress

    Do you live off campus, but need a way to get to school at UT Arlington? Do you live on campus and want to get out and explore attractions in Fort Worth, Dallas, and the rest of the Metroplex? The MAX gets you where you need to go! Buses make regular trips between the TRE CentrePort/DFW Airport Station and College Park Center at UT Arlington, with an additional stop at the Lincoln Square Shopping Center, Monday through Friday from approximately 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Fares for a bus and rail ride are $2.50 for students and $5 for everyone else.

    Are you going to be new to campus this spring?  Attend an orientation for new Mavericks.  Orientation is required for all incoming freshmen, and is also required for some transfer students.  Even if you are a transfer student who is not required to attend, we still recommend it!  Come get oriented to everything.

    In order to provide students, faculty, staff, and visitors with a healthy, welcoming learning environment, the University prohibited the use of all tobacco products—including cigarettes, e-cigarettes, cigars, pipes, and smokeless tobacco—on campus property at all times on August 1, 2011.
