  • Terry Foundation Scholarship

    Terry Foundation establishes scholarship program at UT Arlington

    The University of Texas at Arlington has been selected to be a part of the Terry Foundation Scholarship program, the largest private source of scholarships in the state.     The first group of Terry Scholars will be starting as Freshman in the Fall semester of 2015. Incoming freshman fall-admit students interested in learning more or wishing to apply should visit http://www.uta.edu/terryscholars/

  • Dr. Nan Ellin

    Dr. Nan Ellin Appointed Dean

    Dr. Ellin’s first priority will be to shepherd the integration of the School of Architecture and the School of Urban and Public Affairs into a new college that will extend the reputation, impact and influence of the University in areas related to design, architecture, urban planning and public affairs. She officially joins UT Arlington on Jan. 5.

    University College To Open Late on December 19

    On December 19, University College will open late for planning and meetings. On this date, all offices within University College will be closed beginning at 8am. Normal operations will resume beginning at 2pm. Students should be aware of these dates and plan ahead to ensure that you are able to make use of any services needed.

  • Metro Arlington Xpress

    Metro Arlington Xpress

    Do you live off campus, but need a way to get to school at UT Arlington? Do you live on campus and want to get out and explore attractions in Fort Worth, Dallas, and the rest of the Metroplex? The MAX gets you where you need to go! Buses make regular trips between the TRE CentrePort/DFW Airport Station and College Park Center at UT Arlington, with an additional stop at the Lincoln Square Shopping Center, Monday through Friday from approximately 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Fares for a bus and rail ride are $2.50 for students and $5 for everyone else.

    As of January 1, 2012, incoming Texas college students under 30 years of age and continuing students who have missed one fall or spring semester must be immunized against bacterial meningitis and submit proof of vaccination.  Learn more about this policy at the university's FAQ site.

    Are you going to be new to campus this spring?  Attend an orientation for new Mavericks.  Orientation is required for all incoming freshmen, and is also required for some transfer students.  Even if you are a transfer student who is not required to attend, we still recommend it!  Come get oriented to everything.

    Clearing the Air on Campus

    In order to provide students, faculty, staff, and visitors with a healthy, welcoming learning environment, the University prohibited the use of all tobacco products—including cigarettes, e-cigarettes, cigars, pipes, and smokeless tobacco—on campus property at all times on August 1, 2011.
