University College To Open Late on March 25
On March 25, University College will open late for planning and meetings. On this date, all offices within University College will be closed beginning at 8am. Normal operations will resume beginning at 1pm. Students should be aware of these dates and plan ahead to ensure that you are able to make use of any services needed. Additional late open dates for the spring semester include April 29.

In order to provide students, faculty, staff, and visitors with a healthy, welcoming learning environment, the University prohibited the use of all tobacco products—including cigarettes, cigars, pipes, and smokeless tobacco—on campus property at all times on August 1, 2011.

Are you going to be new to campus this spring? Attend an orientation for new Mavericks. Orientation is required for all incoming freshmen, and is also required for some transfer students. Even if you are a transfer student who is not required to attend, we still recommend it! Come get oriented to everything.

Texas Meningitis Vaccination Law
As of January 1, 2012, incoming Texas college students under 30 years of age and continuing students who have missed one fall or spring semester must be immunized against bacterial meningitis and submit proof of vaccination. Learn more about this policy at the university's FAQ site.
