Social Work Advanced Master's Level Clinical Internship
The purpose of the Social Work Internship placement within UTA Counseling Services is to provide the intern with a solid grounding in counseling activities, which includes foundational skill development in interviewing, psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and implementing that plan. Particular attention will be paid to increasing self-awareness and the development of one’s professional identity as a social worker. Because of the nature of the work done in Counseling Services, which includes providing counseling to individuals and groups, as well as facilitating workshops, interested applicants are required to have prior counseling experience.
