The University College Learning Center
The goal of the University College Learning Center is to provide a series of collaborative learning opportunities to support students in their pursuit of knowledge and personal success. To this end, students will find a diverse environment dedicated to meeting the academic needs of UT Arlington's undergraduate students with programs, workshops, one-on-one tutoring, and group-based supplemental instruction. We believe that all students can benefit from targeted review and additional academic support that seeks to combine an understanding of individual learning styles with peer-to-peer mentoring and teaching. At UT Arlington, students have built a legacy of success through hard work and seeking out academic assistance. The University College Learning Center is here to provide the academic support you need to achieve your goals.
The carefully selected and highly trained staff of the University College Learning Center work with students from every college and school across campus, answering questions and helping students meet the demands of UT Arlington faculty. Here you will find learner-centered programs including one-on-one assistance from University Tutorial, group-based collaborative learning through our Supplemental Instruction program, as well as targeted, grant-based programs like TRiO-Student Support Services. The University College Learning Center is also home to UT Arlington's Start Strong Freshman Tutoring Program, which offers free tutoring in many of the most difficult courses for college freshmen.
So we invite you to spend some time with the Learning Center. Throughout our site, you will find information about setting-up your tutoring appointment, attending an SI session, or registering with TRiO-Student Support Services. If you have any questions, let us know. We look forward to helping you achieve your goals and pursue success.
