Finish@UT Program
Welcome to the Finish @ UT Program. We are so glad you stopped by to learn more about this exciting and innovative way to complete your degree online from UT Arlington. In today's hectic world, more and more people are seeking alternative means to earn a college degree while meeting the increasing demands of life. If you are one of these people, then Finish @ UT may be just what you need. Even if you began your college career earlier and put it on hold, the Finish @ UT Program now offers you the means to complete your degree without having to be physically present on campus.
UT Arlington is part of the University of Texas Online Consortium (UTOC). The consortium is comprised of several campuses in the UT system but four of these, UT Arlington (UTA), UT Brownsville (UTB), UT El Paso (UTEP), and UT Permian Basin (UTPB) provide courses for the Finish @ UT program. Students select one of these four campuses as their home institution and can take courses from the other three campuses for credit toward a degree. Students must apply and be accepted to a home campus and are then placed into the Finish @ UT Program at that particular institution. The main source for information, registration, course offerings, and important dates for the Finish @ UT Program is the official Finish@UT website. All Finish @ UT students should visit this site on a regular basis.
Each campus has its own advisor who works closely with students as they progress toward the goal of earning a Bachelor's Degree. At UT Arlington, we offer a Bachelor of Science in University Studies (BSUNIS). Students earn credits toward this degree by taking courses in seven-, eight-, or fifteen-week formats. Two sessions are offered in the fall and spring semester, and only one session is offered in the summer. Students may take up to 12 hours in the fall term and up to 12 hours in the spring term by combining seven-, eight-, or fifteen-week courses. Students may take up to 6 hours in the summer. Advisors will work with students to optimize credit hours and balance course workloads but reserve the right to restrict enrollment in the best interest of student success.
To determine if the Finish @ UT Program is right for you, answer a few brief questions:
- Have you completed your Core?
- Have you earned a 2.0 cumulative GPA?
- Have you completed 60 hours toward your degree?
If you answered yes to all of these questions, you are a candidate for the Finish @ UT Program.
