Information for Current Students
University College was founded to help UT Arlington students attain the highest levels of academic success. We are here to help ease the transition into your college education your freshman year, and will continue to stand beside you and provide the resources, advice, and opportunities you'll need to grow and learn throughout your academic career. Beginning in the fall of 2010, all students will be admitted into University College as their academic home. Freshman and undeclared students will receive academic advising from the University Advising Center and will remain a part of University College until they declare a major and meet necessary conditions for transfer to their major school or college.
In addition to advising, students will find a host of programs and services offered by University College aimed at helping students achieve academic success. From one-on-one and group tutoring to academic counseling to career exploration workshops, University College offers abundant resources to help you make the most of your UT Arlington education. Students of all classifications will find something for them. For freshmen, we invite you to take advantage of free tutoring through the Start Strong Freshman Tutoring Program. For sophomores, it is never too early to start planning your career path or thinking about graduate school. For upper-class students, we are there with advice and support to ensure that you remain on track for an on-time graduation.
