Laura began her career at UT Arlington in January 2005.  Laura serves as Assistant Director for University College and Coordinator for University Studies.  Prior to that, she was an Academic Advisor in the Department of Psychology for 8 1/2 years.  She is a UT Arlington Alum earning both her Bachelor of Arts in English and her Masters of Education  in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the University.     

Kaylee Woodward

Kaylee Woodward currently serves as an Academic Advisor II in the University Studies department. She graduated from Southwestern Assemblies of God University with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a minor in Marriage and Family Counseling. Prior to working in the University Studies program, Kaylee worked in the Department of Mathematics here at UT Arlington and has prior experience working at Southwestern Assemblies of God University and Amarillo College. Kaylee enjoys helping students reach their academic goals by creating individualized degree plans and building relationships as she walks through this exciting time in each of their lives.

Anna Hollis

Anna Hollis serves as the Academic Advisor III for Finish@UT with the University Studies department. She grew up in southern California and graduated from California State Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2005.  Anna moved to Texas in 2006 and graduated with a Master of Science in Psychology in 2009. Anna has worked in higher education advising for approximately 7 years.  She began working at UT Arlington in 2013 in the University Advising Center. Anna has experience teaching major exploration courses and MAVS 1000 courses; she continues participating in various campus initiatives, all focused on improving the student experience here at UT Arlington. 

  

Amrita Tharappel-Thomas

Amrita Tharappel-Thomas currently serves as an Academic Advisor in the University Studies department. Amrita has been living in the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolis for almost 30 years. She received her MBA and Masters of Science in Healthcare Management in 2012 and her Bachelors of Science in Biology and Business Administration in 2008 from The University of Texas at Dallas. Amrita brings experience from previous roles at Dallas ISD, and The Princeton Review in the areas of academic advising, test prep, student support and project management. Amrita has a passion to see her students succeed; she enjoys helping her students open doors of opportunity that her students previously thought were closed.

Jazmin Rice

Jazmin Rice currently serves as an Academic Advisor II in the University Studies department. Jazmin has recently relocated from Houston, but is originally from California. She received her Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas Southern University in 2011. She will secure her Master’s degree in Special Populations, in the Spring of 2017. Although Jazmin is new to the University, she is not new to the field of higher education. Jazmin brings experience from previous roles at Texas Southern University and University of Houston, in the areas of student support, academic advising, program management, event and workshop coordination and community outreach. Jazmin has a passion for post-secondary planning and assisting students in creating their roadmap to success. She truly enjoys getting to know her students and helping them achieve their personal and academic goals.

Tammy started at UT Arlington in 2002 and has continued her career in University Studies. She is attending college at TCC to complete her Associates of Arts and plans to pursue her Bachelors in Business Administration (Management) at UT Arlington. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time at church, with family and most of all traveling. She is excited about this journey in her life right now. She enjoys what she does which entails, being a part of UT Arlington and being able to help the students as much as possible press towards completing their education.
