University Studies How to Apply
To ensure that this degree program is the best option for you and your future goals, we require that all students apply to the program and include a written statement regarding their motivations for pursuing a University Studies degree.
NOTE: Students cannot apply for this program until they have completed at least 60 hours of undergraduate coursework that could be applied to a degree plan at UT Arlington. (Transfer credits from technical/vocational programs from a technical or community college are not accepted at UT Arlington for this degree program in general and could not be used toward the completion of this degree plan.)
Students who are considering pursuing a professional or graduate degree should conduct research about the requirements for the advanced degree and talk with a University Studies advisor prior to completing the application to be sure the degree meets those requirements.
The deadline for summer 2013 admission to the University Studies program is May 24, 2013. Students must submit the online application or drop off a copy of the application to the reception desk on the first floor of Ransom Hall by these deadlines in order to be considered for acceptance to the University Studies degree program.
Or you may complete the following application page and statement of intent for admission to the program
and submit these materials to University Studies by:
U.S. Mail: University Studies Program, University College, The University of Texas at Arlington, Box 19240 Arlington, TX 76019
Drop off: University College, 101 Ransom Hall
You will be notified via your UT Arlington student e-mail account of your acceptance to the program no later than 10 business days from receipt in our office.
Once accepted, students will be immediately changed to an Intended University Studies Major and need to receive all advisement from University Studies advisors.
