Sally Hoelke
Coordinator for University Studies
Sally worked as an elementary science teacher for many years and completed her master's degree in Education with an environmental studies concentration at UT Arlington in 1993. She has worked at UT Arlington off and on for several years in the Colleges of Education and Engineering before moving on to serve as an advisor and coordinator for University Studies. She is married, has three sons and two Welsh Corgis, and loves travel, the arts, animals, and geology. Her husband and two of her sons are also UT Arlington alumni.

Bethany Bateman
Academic Advisor for University Studies
Bethany comes to University Studies at UT Arlington from Pittsburgh, where she completed her Masters in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh in 2011. Prior to this, she earned an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and Bioethics from the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada. Since college, Bethany worked for many years as a Case Manager with the elderly population in Pittsburgh, and post-Masters as a mental health therapist with families, adolescents, and children. Bethany brings to University Studies her passion for helping others and connecting them with the resources they need to succeed, as well as her appreciation for lifelong learning. Bethany’s hobbies include reading (especially contemporary fiction and history), crafting, exploring & discovering new things to love about Texas with her husband, Oliver, and Skyping with her nieces and nephew in Pittsburgh!

Timothy Denny
Academic Advisor for University Studies
Timothy earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from UT Arlington, after completing a 23 year career in the U.S. Navy working in Logistics and Supply Chain Operations. At UT Arlington, Tim was a Peer Academic Leader teaching First Year Seminars to freshmen and Transfer Students and workshops for Student Veterans, focusing on succeeding at UT Arlington. He enjoys spending time with his son, playing video games, shooting Airsoft guns and watching baseball, Go Rangers!!!

Megan Fauntleroy
Academic Advisor for University Studies
Megan earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. Her background includes marketing, newspaper publishing, and education. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, gardening, reading, puzzles and playing with her 5 year old daughter. She joined the academic advising team in University Studies in September 2011 and is happy to be back on a college campus, helping students with their academic careers.

Kathleen Stephens
Academic Advisor for University Studies
Kathleen Sullivan Stephens holds the B.A. and M.A. in English from Baylor University and the Ph.D. in English from Arizona State University. A member of the Sport Literature Association and the Society for American Baseball Research, she is the author of several reviews and articles on sport literature and Women Characters in Baseball Literature: A Critical Study (2005). In 2005 she was named the UTA Outstanding Undergraduate Faculty Advisor, and in 2006 the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) named her their Outstanding New Faculty Advisor. She is also the co-author of Our White Boy, which was published in 2010 by Texas Tech University Press. She enjoys baseball, reading, and writing and lives in Arlington, Texas, with her husband, Johnny, and son, Connor. She and her family cheer for the Texas Rangers.

Tammy Williams
Degree Plan Evaluator for University Studies
Tammy started at UT Arlington in 2002 and has continued her career in University Studies. She is attending college at TCC to complete her Associates of Arts and plans to pursue her Bachelors in Business Administration (Management) at UT Arlington. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time at church, with family and most of all traveling. She is excited about this journey in her life right now. She enjoys what she does which entails, being a part of UT Arlington and being able to help the students as much as possible press towards completing their education.
