Testing Services
The Testing Services Office provides information to help students identify tests they may want to take for undergraduate or graduate admission or credit by examination. Some academic departments at UT Arlington require tests prior to registration in order to place students in an appropriate course and/or to award college credit by examination.
We offer some of these tests in our office on a regular basis. You will be able to get the information you need from our website. If you would like to get further information, our staff will be happy to talk to you and answer your questions.
Due to requirements by the Testing Companies all students must leave all personal items either in their car or in lockers that are located in the Testing Services office. Examples of items not allowed in the test room:
- Electronic devices such as cell phones, pagers, PDAs, iPods, cameras, flash drives, etc.
- Backpacks, bags or purses
- Books, notes, formula sheets, papers or any other items not previously approved by the instructor
- Hats
- Food or drink
"Any student found with a cell phone or other electronic device in the test room will be dismissed, test cancelled, fees forfeited and the student will be reported to the Office of Student Conduct."
We are located in 201 Davis Hall. Our office is open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Testing Services is closed on Saturday, Sunday, and certain public holidays.
If you have a disability and require some accommodation in taking an examination, your request must be approved in advance. For institutional examinations administered at UT Arlington, you must complete and submit the Request for Accomodation form to Testing Services at least 30 days in advance of the test date. In some cases more time may be required. Documentation will be requested by the person who evaluates your request. For nationally administered examinations, you must make arrangements through the national testing company. Please follow this link for the Testing Services Accommodation Request Form (PDF). This accommodation form is for UT Arlington students only.
If you are required to take the Math Placement Test or Calculus Readiness Test, you will need to do so prior to attending orientation. For information, visit the Math Department.
