Texas Higher Education Assessment (Quick THEA)
THEA Quick Test (QTHEA) -Teacher Education Programs
Beginning August 22, 2013 the THEA will be used for Teacher Education Program entrance ONLY. THEA will not be an accepted TSI exam after August 21, 2013.
The QTHEA is a five-hour, paper-based exam accepted by the College of Education for entrance into the Teacher Certification program. Registration is available online up until 24 hours prior to the test date. Capacity is limited for each test date. It is expected that these dates will fill up quickly, so you should register as soon as possible. UT Arlington is a paper based test site not an internet based test (ibt) site.

Fee: $20 administration fee payable to UT Arlington (due when you register) and $29 payable to Evaluations Systems Group (Bring with you on test date, using check, money order, Visa or MasterCard).

No Standbys - you must be registered to take the test.
You should report to the published location, at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the test. If you do not arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the test, you may forfeit your registration. You must bring a payment of $29 in the form of a check or money order made payable to Evaluation Systems Group, or you may pay using Visa or MasterCard. NO CASH!
You must have current, valid photo identification to be admitted to the exam. Examples of acceptable id are: Passport, Driver's License, Student ID Card, Employee ID Card, Military ID.
You will not be admitted to the test without the proper identification and payment. You will be asked to complete a registration form after you report to the test.
Final scores are posted approximately seven business days after you take the THEA Quick Test. To see if your University has received your scores, contact your Admissions office or the test company at (916) 928-4014.
If you failed any THEA section, you will be required to register for and attend developmental education. Your advisor can access your THEA scores and advise you with regard to developmental coursework.

Passing QTHEA Test Scores for Education majors
TO CHANGE/MODIFY APPOINTMENT
Must change/modify at least 24 hours in advance.
Sign in to Timetrade with your user name & password that you previously created.
"View Test Appointment"
Click on Modify Test Appointment
Click on Next (located on the bottom right of screen)
Pick new date & time
Click Make Test Appointment (located on the bottom right of screen)
As long as you modify your appointment your payment will be current. If you CANCEL your appointment your will need to repay the fee.
