Policies and Procedures

These policies and proceedures are the basic requirements at the UTA Testing Center. Please refer to the test page for specific requirements for that exam.


Registration

  • General availability can be seen here. Visit the page for your exam for additional times or restrictions.

    Be sure to check the page for your exam for additional registration steps.

    Registration for UTA students: students.utatesting.timetrade.com. You must know your 10-digit UTA ID number to register.

    Registration for Non-UTA students: nonstudents.utatesting.timetrade.com.

FEES

  • Fees vary by test however payment is due at time of registration.

    Fees must be paid when you schedule the appointment. If not paid within 24 hours, the appointment will be canceled. If you cannot pay on-line, contact Testing Services at 817-272-2362.

MODIFY AN APPOINTMENT

  • Must change/modify at least 24 hours in advance.

    Sign in to TimeTrade with your user name & password that you previously created.

    "View Test Appointment"

    Click on Modify test appointment

    In the pull-down, labeled "Location", change it to "Any Location"

    Click on Next (located on the bottom right of screen)

    Pick new date & time

    Click Next

    Verify information

    Click Make Test Appointment (located on the bottom right of screen)

    As long as you modify your appointment your payment will be current. If you CANCEL your appointment you will need to repay the fee.

CHECK-IN PROCEDURES

  • You should report to the ‘testing location’ (PRINTED ON YOUR ADMISSION TICKET) at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the appointment.

    You must provide an ID to be admitted to the exam (some tests require two forms of ID, please refer to the test page for further instructions on required forms of identification).

    ID must be current, with a valid photo identification. You will not be admitted to the test without proper identification.

    ***Check to ensure that you are following all of our parking guidelines.***

PROHIBITED ITEMS

  • Due to requirements set by the Testing Companies, all students must leave personal belongings in their car or put away belongings in lockers that are provided (free of charge) in the testing center. Examples …

    • Electronic devices such as cell phones, pagers, PDAs, iPods, cameras, flash drives, watches, FitBits, etc.
    • Backpacks, bags or purses
    • Books, notes, formula sheets, papers or any other items not previously approved by the instructor
    • Hats
    • Food or drink

    Any student found with a cell phone or other electronic device in the test room will be dismissed, test canceled, fees forfeited and the student will be reported to the Office of Student Conduct.

SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS

  • IF YOU HAVE A DISABILITY AND REQUIRE SOME ACCOMMODATIONS IN TAKING AN EXAMINATION, YOUR REQUEST MUST BE APPROVED IN ADVANCE. 

     

    FOR INSTITUTIONAL EXAMINATIONS ADMINISTERED AT UTA, YOU MUST COMPLETE AND SUBMIT THE REQUEST FOR ACCOMMODATION FORM TO TESTING SERVICES AT LEAST 30 DAYS IN ADVANCE OF THE TEST DATE.  IN SOME CASES, MORE TIME MAY BE REQUIRED.

    DOCUMENTATION WILL BE REQUESTED BY THE PERSON WHO EVALUATES YOUR REQUEST.  FOR NATIONALLY ADMINISTERED EXAMINATIONS, YOU MUST MAKE ARRANGEMENTS THROUGH THE NATIONAL TESTING COMPANY.

Our Mission:

Testing Services provides departmental, institutional, and national testing opportunities to students and non-students in an atmosphere which enables examinees to perform to the best of their abilities. This atmosphere relies on test administration practices which (1) adhere to nationally recognized professional testing standards and government regulations, (2) maintain the integrity of the testing process by incorporating ethical standards and security measures, and (3) treat all examinees in a professional yet personable manner. The University of Texas at Arlington testing office adheres to the Standards and Guidelines of the National College Testing Association.

The purpose of this form is to resolve a problem that remains unresolved after contacting the office you visited for assistance and/or to notify us of any inappropriate treatment received during an interaction with an office. Therefore, in most instances you should have contacted the office you visited prior to completing this form.
