New digital humanities project to map historic sites of conflict involving Native Americans in Texas

UTA researchers supported by a new College of Liberal Arts initiative are creating a data-driven, digital map of historic sites of conflict involving Native Americans in Texas to help others investigate online and better understand history.

UTA engineer earns NSF CAREER grant to develop all-liquid, optofluidic laser to better detect diseases

Laser diagnosis

An electrical engineering assistant professor is developing an all-liquid, optofluidic laser that could lead to quicker cancer detection of patients in doctors' offices. Yuze "Alice" Sun received an NSF Early CAREER Award grant to perform the research.
