Three faculty and a graduate of UTA won Tech Titans Awards for excellence and leadership in technology fields in 2016, announced at a recent celebratory gala. UTA professors won the the Tech Titans Inventors Award and Tech Titans of the Future University Award and a UTA alumnus was named Tech Titans Corporate Company CEO of the year.

UTA engineer working to develop bioinks for use in 3-D printing of tissues, organs

Kyungsuk Yum, a UTA assistant professor in the Materials Science and Engineering Department, has received a $100,000 National Science Foundation grant to develop nanocomposite hydrogel bioinks that could be used for printing 3-D tissue and organs.

UTA chemists have published a new study that indicates that highly variable contamination events registered in and around unconventional oil and gas developments are the result of operational inefficiencies and not inherent to the extraction process itself. The study was published today in "Science and the Total Environment."

XC: Cross country teams garner regional preseason rankings

The UT Arlington men's and women's cross country teams find themselves listed in the preseason Regional Team Rankings released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (UTSFCCCA). The men stand sixth in the South Central Regional rankings, while the women are ninth.
