Pomp and circumstance were on full display as more than 5,600 UTA graduates received their degrees during commencement exercises at College Park Center. See pictures from all the ceremonies.
The team won its first national championship Saturday, defeating Illinois 65-51 in the title game of the National Intercollegiate Wheelchair Basketball Tournament. The men’s team took third place.
Pomp and circumstance were on full display Dec. 17-19 as several thousand UTA graduates participated in seven Commencement ceremonies in College Park Center.
Students received their class rings and experienced some of UTA's favorite traditions at the Maverick Ring Ceremony on Dec. 12, 2015, in the Bluebonnet Ballroom.
Maverick pride filled the College Park District as thousands of alumni, students, faculty, staff, and community members enjoyed fun and festivities during Homecoming 2015, culminating with an exciting win by the men's basketball team.
More than 100 teams frolicked in the sloppy courts near Greek Row at the annual Oozeball mud volleyball tournament. One of UTA’s most popular campus traditions, the event takes place every September.
Faculty, staff, and students helped new Mavericks settle in to their residence hall rooms during Move-In Day. The annual event kicked off the 2015 Maverick Stampede.
Patriotism and UT Arlington pride were on display at the 50th annual Arlington 4th of July Parade. UTA’s entries included two floats, as well as the University’s spirit groups and Formula SAE race cars.
About 800 UTA students, staff, and faculty volunteered at over 40 locations as part of The Big Event. The annual day of service and outreach benefits numerous community-based and nonprofit organizations and agencies.
