The Terry Foundation announces new recipients of its prestigious scholarship award, the largest private source of scholarships in Texas. Of the 167 high achieving students, 13 will attend UTA.
UTA student-athlete Rose Hollermann is dedicating her play in the 2016 Summer Paralympics to her parents, KXAS/NBC 5 reported. Hollermann plays for the UTA Lady Movin’ Mavs wheelchair basketball team. The Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro begin Sept. 7.
The City of Dallas has commissioned UTA's Institute of Urban Studies to help with the Dallas Executive Airport development project, KXAS/NBC 5 reported. Shima Hamidi, the institute's director and an assistant professor in the College of Architecture, Policy and Public Affairs, is leading the study.
