The National Institutes of Health has awarded a three-year, $444,000 grant to biochemistry Assistant Professor Subhrangsu Mandal to explore chemicals in the environment that interfere with hormone functions. Dr. Mandal is testing items like milk and water from various sources for endocrine-disrupting chemicals that can cause cancer and reproduction problems.
