As we celebrate 50 years of Six Flags Over Texas, Evelyn Barker, a librarian at UT Arlington, takes us on a mini-tour of “What You Wish The World Could Be,” a special collection exhibition at UT Arlington’s Central Library detailing the early years of Six Flags. The exhibit runs through August 13, 2011.
I worked at SFOT in the summers of 1968, 1969, and 70 as a ride operator, and I also graduated from UTA in 1980 after a long stretch of night school. I still live in Arlington and will have to get up to the library and see this exhibit. Great article and it brought back some good memories. I still have many friends in the area that are ex-SFOT employees.
