The mission of UTARI is to perform research and development that links discovery, development and technology commercialization leading to technology-based economic development that benefits our society. Building sustainable relationships with regional business and industry is key to our success. Our work involves seeking externally sponsored research funding by writing competitive proposals, collaborating with faculty and government agencies, involving students in our work to enhance their education, contributing to the University’s strategic goals and objectives, and being a responsible community partner.
Unique, affordable solutions to complex problems. That's what you find at The University of Texas at Arlington Research Institute (UTARI). We collaborate with faculty from The University of Texas Arlington to promote undergraduate and graduate education.
In addition to working with UTA faculty and students, we are building new collaborations elsewhere in the region, throughout the country and beyond America’s borders. Our partners come from government, industry and universities. Together we facilitate early stage product development in our five divisions:
At UTARI, we host symposiums, consortia, and events to bring together our partners to focus on research and development issues. We are committed to maintaining a well-informed, talented workforce at UTARI. It is that workforce—particularly, our interdisciplinary team of engineers—that can provide new opportunities for our partners, as well.
