Biography

Charu is a Research Scientist at the University of Texas at Arlington Research Institute (UTARI). Before joining UTARI, she worked as a Software Engineer in Sunnyvale, California. Her work is focused on design and development of Embedded Systems and Software Development. She is passionate about embedded programming and building smart devices.

Charu received her Master’s in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington (2015), MBA from Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), India (2012) and Bachelor’s in Electronics and Communication from Manav Rachna College of Engineering, India (2010).

In 2013, Charu was awarded the Women Scientist Scholarship by the Patent Facilitating Centre (PFC) of Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC) on behalf of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), India.

When she is not into Electronics, Charu likes to travel, and play badminton.
