As a Software Systems Specialist IV at UTARI I am responsible for maintaining UTARI’s IT infrastructure and systems as well as to promote efficiency, ensure information security, enhance functionality, and increase usability.  I will also provide personal IT Support to all of UTARI’s staff and promote best practices and optimize UTARI’s infrastructure and processes in regards to the IT environment.  My responsibilities include procurement, desktop support, server support, audio-visual, and process design.

My experience in various IT disciplines and fields has provided me with the skills and tools to support, maintain, and improve UTARI’s diverse IT environment and to further facilitate the research that goes on at this facility.  My experience with desktop support and server support in the Texas Public School system for 3 years, infrastructure design and network administration in the private sector for 12 years, and help desk tier 1 and tier 2 support at UTA’s help desk for 2 years is what I bring to this position.

I’ve completed the Cisco Networking academy program at TCC, completed all offered coursework on Information Security, A+ Hardware and Software, as well as Network Administration.

I’ve served on the OIT Strategic Realignment Team as well as other Leadership Committees and special teams in OIT during my time at the Help Desk.
