Pavan Nuthi, Ph.D., is a Research Scientist III at The University of Texas at Arlington Research Institute (UTARI). His work at UTARI is focused on Control Systems for Biomedical device prototypes.

He received his Bachelor of Technology (2010) in Aerospace Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Madras. His undergraduate thesis was focused on control of unmanned aerial vehicles for remote surveillance. He was awarded a Doctoral degree (2015) in Aerospace Engineering by University of Texas at Arlington for his work on a novel control architecture which combines aspects of Adaptive and Optimal Control for System Identification and Closed loop stability simultaneously.

Nuthi is a member of professional organizations such as IEEE, AIAA, and ASME with active research contributions in the form of publications. He is an avid programmer and a system integration enthusiast. Although majority of his academic work focuses on theoretical Control Systems, his interests also lie in hands-on implementation and testing He is also an automotive enthusiast with autocross experience
