The UTARI vision is to become a premier research institute, transforming ideas into realities through unbounded research and innovative developments that sustain business and industry, advance humankind, and benefit our global society.
On-demand, on-the-spot manufacturing. Commercially viable driverless cars. Tissue regeneration for limbs. These are just some of the types of projects that researchers the world over will be working on over the next decade. UTARI is ready to lead the way in this next wave of discovery. The second half of the information revolution will be driven by the application of these technologies and the development of manufacturing processes to enable the commercialization of affordable, reliable, and possibly disposable machines. Their potential applications are abundant, ranging from neural interfaces for prosthetics; assistive robotics for people with disabilities; flexible manufacturing platforms; and humanoid robotics for entertainment, training, and manufacturing. UTARI is ready to take up this challenge and uncover technologies that can change the world.
This new Institute for Predictive Performance Methodologies develops applied science, engineering, predictive testing of materials and their systems based on operational observables.
The Automation and Intelligent Systems Division not only concentrates on assistive robotics to help those with disabilities, the elderly, and wounded warriors but also on Smart Home technologies and autonomous vehicle systems.
The Biomeidcal Technologies Division is developing devices and systems for tissue regeneration and wound healing, in addition to preventative and assistive medical devices.
The Biological Microsystems Division is the newest addition to UTARI's research focus.
