UTARI’s Product Engineering Division research efforts are focused on the areas of flexible manufacturing, low-cost automation for custom assembly and packaging solutions, and rapid prototyping of novel and advanced products.
The Product Engineering Division's mission is to enable product development by providing a rapid, low cost, and reliable transition path for fundamental technologies to reach the market. The Product Engineering Division inherits its unique technical knowledge from years of analytics and experimental research in the field of industrial robotics that has evolved through a series of ground breaking accomplishments, including:
The division works closely with UT Arlington faculties as well as other universites, research institutes, and small & large industries across the nation to identify and transition innovative ideas into novel or improved products for a wide range of markets including bio-medical instruments, low volume manufacturing systems, environmental sensing devices, autonomous platforms, and more. Our activities span across health innovations, technologies for an improved built and social environment, water conservation, and big data management for wide-scale sensor fusion; reflecting UT Arlington's guiding themes for becoming a 21st century urban university.
