We continue to look for opportunities with different government agencies such as the National Science Foundation, the U.S. Department of Defense’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, U.S. Department of the Navy’s Office of Naval Research, NASA, the U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research/ Development and Engineering Center, and the U.S. Army Unmanned Aerial Systems group. In addition to continually building partnerships with the faculty at UT Arlington, we are reaching out to other university partners including the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, Dartmouth College, and the University of Pittsburgh.
UTARI has several remote satellite laboratories on the main UT Arlington campus, which include:
- the Motion Capture Laboratory in the Computer Science and Engineering department, whose function is to provide capabilities on human motion analysis and sensory based control evaluation;
- the Next Generation System Laboratory in the Department of Electrical Engineering, which focuses on platform development, sensor integration, and control schemes; and
- the Heracleia Human-Centered Computing Laboratory, specializing in medical imaging, bioinformatics, sensor networks, and collaboration systems.
