UTARI is leading and maintaining the university’s effort on student robotics competitions. We assist in building teams of students to participate in several national and international competitions in the areas of water, ground, and aerial vehicles. The 2013 competitions are:
- Microrobotics Challenge (sponsored by L3
communications and Ronald & Lucinda Cross)
The team competed successfully at this year’s ICRA Robotics conference in Karlsruhe, Germany with a 2nd place finish in the Microassembly Challenge and a 3rd place finish in the Autonomous Mobility Challenge.
- AUVSI Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition
(sponsored by Lockheed Martin)
The competition was held in Rochester, Michigan. The team worked hard and came through with a strong showing especially with the unique design of their quad-wheeled ground vehicle.
- AUVSI Student Unmanned Air Systems Competition
(sponsored by Bell Helicopter)
The team will compete on June 20th at Webster Field, Maryland.
- AUVSI International RoboBoat Competition
(sponsored by QinetiQ North America)
The competition will be held in July at Virginia Beach, Virginia.
- NASA RASC-AL Exploration Robo-Ops Competition
The team is already preparing their system for the 2014 competition.
