Enable Java Virtual Machine

You will need to have the Sun Microsystems Java Virtual Machine (“JVM”) software version 1.4.1 (1.4.2 or higher recommended) software installed in your browser in order for certain areas of WebCT to function properly.

You may need to enable cookies in order to log in to WebCT.

Adding WebCT as a “Trusted Site”

Windows XP Service Pack 2 added additional security features to Internet Explorer. WebCT users will need to add WebCT to IE’s list of trusted sites. To do this, follow the instructions below.

1. From your menu bar, select Tools >> Internet Options.
2. Select the Security tab.
3. In the “Select a Web content zone...” area, select Trusted sites.
4. Click on the Sites... button.
5. Type http://webct.uta.edu/ in the top text field.
6. Uncheck the “Require server verification...” box.
7. Click the Add button.
8. Click OK.
9. Click OK again.
