Training Opportunities

The Center for Distance Education provides in-depth training, available to UTA faculty and staff who want to learn about distance education and WebCT.  Training begins with a session focusing on distance education and how it is affecting today’s higher education environment.  The training then moves into the development and production aspects of WebCT courses, beginning with an overview of the various tools from a student’s perspective. It then progresses through beginning, intermediate, and advanced functions within WebCT, focusing on the course designer’s perspective.  Participants will complete the training with the ability to create interactive, successful WebCT courses.

We are currently developing training for WebCT and other new technology that goes along with online learning (e.g. podcasting, blogs, etc.).
