The Women’s and Gender Studies Program relies upon corporate and individual donations to enable to us to continue to keep women’s issues, experiences, and needs at the forefront of the campus conversation, to advocate for women here on campus and in the broader community and the world, and to promote scholarship, research, community outreach, and political activism related to women and gender.
Please consider providing a donation to our program – no amount is too small.
We have a special interest in developing funding in two arenas:
• Women’s and Gender Studies Student Scholarships
Scholarships would be used to reward outstanding WGS minors for their achievements in the classroom. Our students are intelligent, hard working, and dedicated – but many struggle to make ends meet while balancing their work, family, and student obligations. Scholarships for talented and accomplished students can make the difference, not only by providing concrete financial support but by communicating to our students that they are recognized for their commitment to pursuing an education. Consider an endowed scholarship in your name or the name of someone you love!
• Women’s and Gender Studies Faculty Research Fund
This fund would be used to support the innovative and internationally-recognized research conducted by the WGS affiliated faculty. Professors at UTA are on the cutting-edge of women’s and gender studies scholarship in a variety of fields. This fund would help to foster their on-going research agendas by providing support for research-related travel or conference presentations, buying books or other research tools, meeting technology needs, or enabling faculty to take time from teaching to complete their projects.
Support UTA faculty and participate in the creation of new knowledge!
