Fabulous career at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Controls, DynCorp International, Oracle and Bell Helicopter. But I am most proud of starting my own business (Bailey’s Premier Services, LLC).

As an entrepreneur my challenges are penetrating the aviation industry. I have made some progress but slower than expected compared to my competition.

Do you take part in any new initiatives, community service, or projects that make you proud?
I have participated in UT-Arlington, United Way of Tarrant County – Mission United and military events.

Is there a particular person in your life that inspired you to be who you are? Who are they and how did they inspire you, personally or professionally?
I lost my grandfather this year. He has inspired me tremendously. He worked during a time that was very difficult for Blacks. He worked for the same family for over 40 years in the construction industry. I am certain he had many dreams, but he focused on stability and providing for the family. I think he was living through me. He encouraged me to work hard and to be kind to people. He was so excited when I enlisted in the Air Force. He had a strong work ethic and loved people.

Business abroad.

What advice would you give to female professionals getting started in their careers?
Be selfish about your time, health and business. Most of all, don’t be afraid to lead and speak up!

Three fun facts about you:

  1. I like to sing but I am not a good singer.
  2. I like to dance but I am certain my dancing is outdated.
  3. I like fancy, I can’t help it!
