Students in the College of Architecture, Planning, and Public Affairs, received the prestige Eisenhower Transportation Fellowship. Recipient of this award Samantha Bradley, Rachel Meleese Jenkins, Laura Osborn, and Steven Reeves all students in the Planning program. The Dwight David Eisenhower Transportation Fellowship Program awards fellowships to students pursuing degrees in transportation-related disciplines. This is a national award, offered by the U.S Department of Transportation. “The transportation workforce attracts the nation's brightest minds to the field of transportation, encouraging future transportation professionals to seek advanced degrees, and helping to retain top talent in the U.S. transportation industry.” FHWA-Office of Innovation
The Dwight David Eisenhower Transportation Fellowship Program (DDETFP) is merit-based and generally result in 150-200 grants annually, subject to the availability of funds. The fellowship will support the recipient's research, and this allows them to attend the 2020 Transportation Research Board (TRB) meeting in Washington D.C.
