Join CONHI for 5 minutes of silence this Friday to reflect on pandemic
The College of Nursing and Health Innovation joins the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council to observe 5 minutes of silence on September 3, 2021 in honor of the 18-month anniversary of the first diagnosed case of COVID-19 in Texas. CONHI invites UTA students, faculty, staff, and the larger Dallas-Fort Worth community to join them for this tribute. The moment of silence will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021 from noon to 12:05 p.m.
This tribute will allow our community a chance to reflect on the pain and suffering over the past 18-months due to the pandemic, thank our health care workers both continuing and the many new nurses and other professionals that head into the field after recent graduations this year, and consider what each individual can do to help by getting the vaccine and wearing a mask.
Individuals can participate by tuning in to CONHI’s Facebook page for a livestream 5-minutes of silence, participate silently wherever they are on Friday at noon, or join in small socially distanced groups outside in silence.
Please join CONHI, the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council, health care workers, friends, and family to express condolences for those who have been lost and to honor the health care workforce that is working tirelessly to treat Texans infected with COVID-19.
