Meet Katie

I chose UTA because they are one of the few universities both in the state, and in the nation, that offer my major, architectural engineering! Additionally, the location of the university was ideal for me because I am still in the Dallas-Fort Worth area but I am independent from home.

I have always had a problem-solving brain, which is basically the core of engineering. Between that and just being curious, engineering was a no-brainer for me.

I chose architectural engineering because for me, it is the perfect blend between the artistry of architecture and the technicalities of engineering. After graduation I hope to work as a structural engineering somewhere in the Metroplex!
