Two UTA MAE Students Take Home Awards at AIAA Regional Student Conference
Two UTA Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering students recently won awards at the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) North Texas Regional Student Conference.
Richard Otano took home third place in the Undergraduate Category for his research entitled, “Image Processing and Time of Flight Analysis of Propagating Shocks.”
Stephan Atkins won first place for his research entitled, “Configuration Aerodynamics Methodology for Conceptual Design of Hypersonic Vehicles.”
Congratulations to both Richard and Stephen and to the MAE faculty supervising their research, Dr. Frank Lu and Dr. Bernd Chudoba.
