Job Description:

The Center for Mexican American Studies is currently searching for a motivated undergraduate/graduate Student Assistant who will provide support to the Faculty and staff of the Center. Experience with web page management required. The following expectations specify the nature of the position:

• Answer the phones and greet visitors to our office
• Assist staff and students by providing accurate information regarding the CMAS minor
• Assist in graphic and web services as requested.
• Manage and maintain the web site of the Center.
• Perform varied clerical duties such as filing, copying, and other duties as assigned.
• Be on time for work and work hours as scheduled.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

• Experience with web page design and development or courses. Additional experience that demonstrates the acquisition and successful application of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Knowledge of programming and content management systems.
• Ability to use computer software including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Grammar and proofing skills.

Preferred:

Bilingual English-Spanish

MAS minor
