Mission

The UTA SSW Continuing and Professional Education (CPE) Program offers high-quality continuing education to alumni and community partners in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex and beyond. We recruit community professionals, faculty, and alumni to present cutting-edge, dynamic training for the SSW network.

For CPE to be a hub for disseminating relevant social work research and collaborating with community partners to advance practice knowledge and skills among the local social work community.

Target Audience

Our CPE courses meet the State of Texas requirements for Social Workers, Professional Counselors, and Marriage and Family Therapists. We encourage other human service professionals, including those out of state, to check with their licensing boards to see if our continuing education credits will satisfy your licensing requirements.

Post Test, Evaluation & Certificate

All trainings require a course evaluation and will provide a certificate of completion to participants. Asynchronous trainings may also require a post-test to check for content understanding before the successful completion of the module(s).

Accommodations

We strive to ensure everyone can access quality continuing education content. If you need special accommodations for a CPE offering, please contact sswcpe@uta.edu. We ask that you contact us before your registration so we can ensure we will have what you need.

Payments, Refunds & Cancellations

Payments for CPE courses are required at the time of registration through the online system. Registration payments are non-refundable.

Grievance Policy

We strive to make the continuing education experience positive for all participants. If you have a concern about CPE, please notify us at sswcpe@uta.edu. We will do our best to respond to your concern within 2 business days and will work toward a satisfactory resolution. You can also address concerns about specific course content with the instructor using their faculty email address.
