An email will be sent to all UTA Social Work Students about when and how to apply for Field. You will apply for Field in InPlace. If the email does not show up in your Inbox, please check your Spam Inbox.

Yes, however, please contact your Field Advisor to make these arrangements. You will also be required to complete a Place of Employment Form. This is located on the field web-page under Forms and Documents.

While the School of Social Work believes that relevant social service career experience will help you succeed in your social work career post-graduation, we, unfortunately, are not able to waive field requirements for any students. Field placement hours are a mandatory part of the program, and due to social work licensing guidelines and program accreditation, we cannot make any exceptions. Please see CSWE Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards for further questions by following the link.

Applying

Once you have logged in to InPlace, there will be a "To Do" list where you can select the application. Please fill out the application entirely. You must hit save after each question in order to submit the application.

After Applying

You will receive a message on your InPlace Dashboard that says “Hello Your Name, Thank you, your application has been successfully submitted. Your Field Advisor will contact you soon with your next steps."
