The School of Social Work received a grant from the US Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to increase the number of social workers with specialized training in mental health and substance abuse. Specially, the grant is to increase specialized knowledge and skills around providing mental health services to children, adolescents, and transitional age youth in integrated care settings.
Part of the grant involves providing scholarships to our social work students who participate in the specialized training while these students are completing their advanced level field internships.
The amount of the scholarship is $10,000 to be distributed directly to the recipient. You are eligible to apply for the scholarships if:
You are currently in the 1st semester of a split mental health placement and will complete the 2nd semester this upcoming summer session.
