TitleIVE@uta.eduStipend students are given first priority for eligible CPS positions in DFPS after graduation. A job offer is dependent on successful completion of classroom requirements and evaluation of practice skills during field placement in the CPS Training Academy.
The Child Welfare Stipend is provided through the Title IV-E Training Contract, a federally funded initiative to enhance child welfare practice by infusing the work force with more BSW and MSW educated practitioners.

TitleIVE@uta.eduComplete Child Welfare Stipend application by the beginning of the semester before you plan to do you field placement. (Block placements are available all 3 semesters)
Participate in a preliminary screening and interview with the UTA Title IV-E Program. This determines which applicants will be recommended to DFPS-CPS for final screening.
Complete field application online by deadline and indicate DFPS-CPS, Title IV-E/Child Welfare stipend as your first choice.
Final screening including driving record, background check, online assessment and employment interview is conducted by DFPS.
