Margaret (Margie) Jackymack

Margaret A. Jackymack, but call her Margie. She is smiling at the camera with her grey top, glasses and a gold necklace.

I am happy to serve as the Co-Chair for the Women’s Faculty Staff Network for the next two years.  I have been with the university 19 years this October and have worked in three departments, all academic.  As a staff member I want to make sure that we are heard on campus.  I have served on the Staff Advisory Council (SAC) for the last five years, with the last four as the Chair.  This coming year I will serve as the vice-chair on SAC.  I also serve on serve committees on campus.

On a personal note I enjoy my personal time.  I cannot sit still at all, always doing something.  My favorite crafts are cross-stitch, crocheting (mainly afghans) and I have learned t-shirt quilting. And I am always willing to learn a new craft.  I usually have all three item going at the same time.  Never know when someone will be getting married or having kids.  My biggest pride and joy at the moment is my granddaughter Nala.  She keeps me very active and busy. My second granddaughter is due the first of September 2021. By the end of the night I like to wind down by reading a book, a good suspense or murder mystery is the best.
