You chose us. We chose you. Now that you're about to begin your graduate studies at UTA, we wanted to remind you of a few things to help you along the way.
Log on to your MyMav account and accept your admission by choosing the accept/decline link in the Admission section of your Student Center. Accepting your admission there reserves your spot at UTA.
If you're thinking about living on campus, apply as soon as possible. The housing application is free and students are only asked to submit a deposit when they are offered a housing contract.
Your graduate advisor will provide you with more information about your specific academic program, requirements, courses, and how to register for classes. Some departments even have orientation programs you may need to attend. Your graduate advisor will help you with all those next steps.
All students under the age of 22 are required to be immunized against bacterial meningitis before they enroll at UTA. You can submit your documents to Magnus Health SMR through your MyMav Account.
Once you've been advised, you are free to register for classes in your MyMav Student Center.
We recommend you attend one of our New Maverick Orientation sessions for graduate students. This one-day program is optional, but it will provide useful information about resources and help you connect to other students and faculty.
You'll need to purchase or rent books for your classes. You can review required textbooks in MyMav or at the UTA Bookstore.
Visit the MavExpress Office in the University Center to get your MavExpress Student ID card. You will need an ID card to use the library, Maverick Activities Center, the Health Center, and more. You will also receive UTA discounts at local businesses.
If you'll be driving to campus, you'll need a parking permit to park at UTA.
