Arlington and the Region

Arlington and the Region

Texas is home to prairies, mountains, grasslands, forests, desert, and coastal regions. Texans have a reputation for fiery independence and free-spiritedness. As an international student studying in Texas, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with a vibrant, diverse population as you take in the beauty of the southwest.

UTA is located in the heart of downtown Arlington, a city that connects the major metropolitan cities of Dallas and Fort Worth. From the city of Arlington, you’re only a short drive away from either city—connecting you to a plethora of must-see attractions, including arts and culture museums, historical sites, amusement parks, and natural wonders.

We claim one of the fastest growing communities in the nation, with nearly 380,000 residents. Arlington is also the hometown of professional sports teams: The Texas Rangers (baseball), the Dallas Cowboys (American football), and the Dallas Wings (women’s basketball). Residents, athletes, and visitors alike enjoy hot summers and mild winters, and they fill their days with good food, great company, and excellent entertainment.
