BE Undergrad Tom Overman Completes Research Program at UCLA

Tom Overman spent his summer at UCLA working with the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory on a scientific computing project aimed at developing parallel-in-time multigrid methods for a class of PDE-constrained optimization problems. He is double-majoring in Math and Bioengineering

The intense nine-week program was on the UCLA campus. The project is on track to get a publication with it's industry sponsor, and has provided several contributions to open-source software community.
