Field Expeditions - Department of Biology

Expeditions into the field is a tried and true cornerstone to herpetology.  Beyond the walls of the laboratory is where many herpetologist gather data, specimens, and synthesize ideas.  In keeping with this trend, herpetologist affiliated with the University of Texas at Arlington's Amphibian and Reptile Diversity Research Center often embark upon sojourns into the field. Herpetologist from the University of Texas at Arlington visit a number of distant locations and foreign countries throughout North, Central and South America, Africa and Asia. Visits to these countries will result in the gathering of new information and materials useful towards conducting and facilitating herpetological research.
