Dr. Clark joined the faculty of Biology at UTA in 2015 as Professor and Chair of the department. He was previously Professor and Head of Biochemistry at NC State University.

Dr. Clark serves on the editorial boards of three journals (Biochemical Journal, Biophysical Chemistry, and Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics) and has served as a member of the MSFC study section at the National Institutes of Health. He has co-organized both the Gibbs Conference on Biothermodynamics and the Texas Protein Folders Meeting, and he has served as guest editor of Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics special edition on protein folding.
