Cooperative Work Program in Biology

This course is designed to allow graduate students to receive credit for their relevant work experiences in the field. Students can receive 3 hours of course credit for their paid or volunteer hands-on work in an area of Biology, Environmental Science, Science Education, or Health-related sciences. Please note that you will be charged tuition for the number of credit hours received, just as you would for any other class. You must be working/volunteering at least 11 hours per week to enroll in this 3 credit class.
Co-op is a unique opportunity to reflect on how your work or volunteer experience complements your educational goals. Students who participate in Co-op will be expected to complete two case study papers describing impactful workplace experiences and analyzing them within the context of the field of Biology and prior or current coursework.
