- Casio: All fx-115 models. Any Casio calculator must contain fx-115 in its model name.
- Hewlett Packard: The HP 33s and HP 35s models, but no others.
- Texas Instruments: All TI-30X and TI-36X models. Any Texas Instruments calculator must contain either TI-30X or TI-36X in its model name.
The Department offers scholarships to continuing students based upon the following criteria. Unless otherwise indicated, amounts of awards vary depending upon qualifications of applicants and availability of funds. Deadline for applying is March 15.
John J. Haynes Scholarship
Eligible students are undergraduates who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents, have unconditional admission to the Civil Engineering program, and have demonstrated an aptitude for academic success in engineering. Deadline for application is March 15.
John L. Mancini Scholarship Fund
Eligible students are students majoring in Environmental Engineering who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents and are at least at the sophomore level. Recipients must have completed the last two semesters with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Deadline for application is March 15.
Charlie M. Moore Scholarship
Eligible students are United States citizens and permanent residents who are civil engineering majors and who have completed at least seven months in Civil Engineering at UT Arlington at the time of application. Applicants must not possess a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from any school and must not be on scholastic probation. The recipient must exhibit those traits of character, integrity, and professional ethics exemplified by Charlie M. Moore. Scholarship and financial need may be considered. Deadline for application is March 15.
Joe J. Rady Scholarship
Eligible students are those who have completed at least one year in civil engineering at UT Arlington. Award is based upon scholarship, extra curricular activities, financial need, and prospects of completing a Civil Engineering degree. Deadline for application is March 15.
Gary Teague Endowed Civil Engineering Scholarship
Eligible students have junior or senior level status, are pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering (CE), are U.S. citizens or permanent residents, and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Full-time enrollment is also required, as is graduation from a North Texas area high school and Texas residency of at least five (5) years. Preference will be given to students having a demonstrated financial need.
Wier & Associates Endowed Scholarship for Civil Engineering
Eligible students have junior or senior level status, have declared major in Civil Engineering (CE), are qualified to take upper division courses in the CE program, and have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA overall with a 3.0 in CE curriculum. Full-time enrollment is also required. Preference will be given to U.S. citizens or permanent residents, students having graduated from a high school program in the U.S., students planning to begin their professional career after graduation in a DFW metroplex general-civil consulting engineering firm focused on providing services to municipal and land development clients, and students willing to participate in professional and development activities.
